๑ ใน ๔ ท้าวจตุโลกบาล ท้าวธตรฐทรงเป็นอธิบดีปกครองดูแลทิศตะวันออก ประทับอยู่บนสวรรค์ชั้นที่หนึ่ง คือ สวรรค์ชั้นจาตุมหาราชิกา ซึ่งตั้งอยู่บริเวณเชิงเขาพระสุเมรุ ท้าวธตรฐทรงเป็นหัวหน้าปกครองเหล่า คนธรรพ์ นักสิทธิ์ วิทยาธร ซึ่งเป็นชาวสวรรค์ที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญด้านดนตรี การขับร้อง และศิลปะการแสดง เทวลักษณะมักถือ พิณ หรือเครื่องดนตรีสาย ซึ่งเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของการใช้เสียงดนตรี ศิลปะ และความสามัคคีในการปกป้องและเผยแผ่ธรรมะ

DhatarathaThao Dhataratha is one of the Four Heavenly Kings (Chatur Loka Bala). He is the sovereign who governs the East. He resides in the first celestial level, Catumaharajika Heaven, situated at the base of Mount Meru (Phra Sumen). Thao Dhataratha is the chief of the Gandharvas (celestial musicians), Siddhas, and Vidyadharas, who are skilled in music, singing, and performing arts. His divine appearance often includes holding a harp or string instrument, which symbolizes the use of music, art, and harmony to protect and spread the Dharma.
