044 มัจฉานุ Macchanu

มัจฉานุ ลูกครึ่งระหว่างลิงกับปลา เป็นตัวละครเอกในวรรณคดีเรื่อง รามเกียรติ์ ของไทย มัจฉานุเป็นบุตรชายของหนุมานกับนางสุพรรณมัจฉา มัจฉานุร่างกายเป็นลิงเผือกแต่มีหางเป็นปลา มีนิสัยซุกซนแบบเด็ก อยากรู้อยากเห็น เมื่อครั้งนางสุพรรณมัจฉาคลอดมัจฉานุออกมา (ด้วยการสำรอกออกมาทางปาก) เกรงว่าทศกัณฐ์จะรู้จึงนำไปทิ้งไว้ที่ชายหาดริมทะเล ต่อมา ไมยราพณ์ เจ้าเมืองบาดาลผ่านมาพบและเก็บไปเลี้ยงเป็นบุตรบุญธรรม

MatchanuMatchanu is a half-monkey, half-fish character, a protagonist in the Thai literature Ramakien. Matchanu is the son of Hanuman and Nang Suphannamatcha. Matchanu has the body of a white monkey but the tail of a fish. He possesses the mischievous and curious nature of a child. When Nang Suphannamatcha gave birth to Matchanu (by spitting him out of her mouth), fearing that Ravana (Thotsakan) would find out, she abandoned him on the seashore. Later, Maiyarap, the King of the Underworld, found him and adopted him as his son.
