พระมารดาแห่งพระเวท เทวีแห่งปัญญาและแสงสว่าง เป็นเทวีสำคัญในคติพราหมณ์-ฮินดูที่ พระองค์เป็นตัวแทนของ ปัญญา ความรู้ และแสงสว่าง ที่ช่วยขจัดความมืดมิด (อวิชชา) ออกไปจากชีวิต ทรงเป็นศูนย์รวมพลังปัญญาของฝ่ายเทวี พระองค์คือบุคลาธิษฐานของบทสวดศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่สุด บทหนึ่งในฮินดู บทสวดนี้เปรียบเสมือนการขอแสงสว่างจากดวงอาทิตย์ เพื่อส่องนำทางชีวิตและจิตใจให้พบเจอแต่สิ่งดีงามและความจริง

Gayatri Gayatri is the Mother of the Vedas and the Goddess of wisdom and light. She is a significant deity in the Brahmanical-Hindu tradition, representing wisdom, knowledge, and light that dispels the darkness of ignorance (Avidya) from life. She is the center of the combined wisdom power of all Goddesses (Devis). She is the personification of one of the most sacred Hindu mantras, the Gayatri Mantra. This mantra is essentially a plea for the light of the Sun to guide one’s life and mind toward goodness and ultimate truth.
