เทพแห่งสายลมและอากาศ ซึ่งถือเป็นหนึ่งในห้าธาตุหลักของธรรมชาติ มีหน้าที่ให้ลมและอากาศแกสิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งมวล เป็นพลังงานที่จำเป็นต่อชีวิต (เรียกว่า “ปราณะ” หรือลมหายใจแห่งชีวิต) มีความสามารถในการทำลายล้างด้วยพายุที่รุนแรง และในขณะเดียวกันก็สามารถให้ลมหายใจที่อ่อนโยนได้ มักถูกพรรณนาว่าเป็นบุรุษผู้สง่างาม สวมมงกุฎ และทรงพาหนะเป็นเนื้อทรายหรือกวาง ในรามเกียรติ์ พระพายเป็นบิดาโดยกำเนิดของหนุมาน ซึ่งทำให้หนุมานมีพลังและความแข็งแกร่งมหาศาลดุจสายลม

Vayu or Pra PhaiPhra Phai is the God of Wind and Air, considered one of the five main elements of nature. His duty is to provide wind and air to all living things, representing the vital energy necessary for life (known as Prana or the breath of life). He has the power of destruction through violent storms, while also being able to provide a gentle breath. He is often depicted as a dignified male figure, wearing a crown and riding a deer or antelope as his vehicle. In the Ramakien, Phra Phai is the biological father of Hanuman, which grants Hanuman immense strength and power like the wind.
