ในวัยเด็ก ศุกราจารย์หรือพระศุกร์ ได้อาศัยร่ำเรียนวิชากับฤาษีอังคิรสพ่อของพระพฤหัสบดี ผู้มีศักดิ์เป็นลุง แต่ระหว่างการเรียนการสอนนั้น พระฤาษีอังคิรสกลับใส่ใจลูกชายมากกว่า ทำให้พระศุกร์ตัดสินใจลาจากเพื่อไปหาอาจารย์ที่เหมาะสมกับตน
In his childhood, Shukracharya lived and studied under the sage Angiras, the father of Brihaspati (Phra Phruehat). Angiras was also Shukracharya’s uncle.
However, during the instruction, the sage Angiras paid more attention to his own son (Brihaspati). Consequently, Shukracharya decided to leave in order to find a teacher who was more suitable for him.
